Virtual Cycling
drumuri.bike
drumuri.bike is an indoor cycling platform for people who do not want to be limited to a fixed catalog of routes. Instead of picking from a closed list, riders can build their own course on a map and decide how the workout should look before they start pedaling.
The route editor is the center of that experience. A ride can begin with a start and finish point, but it does not stop there. Intermediate points can be moved until the route matches a preferred road, climb or local loop. This makes the platform useful both for recreating familiar rides and for testing places a rider has not visited yet.
During the workout, drumuri.bike combines multiple views of the same route. Map data, elevation information and street-level imagery can work together so the ride feels more tied to a real place than a simple abstract trainer session. The goal is not just visual simulation, but a stronger sense of location and progress.
The project also supports riding beyond a single live session. GPX-based workouts and earlier activities can be used as a reference, which makes it possible to compare a current effort with previous ones. That turns the platform into both a route builder and a training environment.
